Cape Coral Florida Boating
Cape Coral is renowned for its relaxed ambiance and waterfront lifestyle, making it a great home for retired folks as well as anyone seeking a laid back lifestyle. Its unique location provides access to over 400 miles of canals, the Caloosahatchee and the Gulf of Mexico. When combined with the cold breezes, great fishing, and beautiful sunsets, the city provides a tremendous boating experience. Its waterways can be accessed via the use of five improved boat ramps including Yacht Club boat ramp, Rosen Park, Horton Park boat ramp, Burnt Store Boat and the BMX boat ramp (provides freshwater access).
There are also other unimproved freshwater boat ramps that are open to the public, but offer limited services: They include:
2111 NE 5th Terr
520 SE 23rd Place
1609 NE 12th St
2119 NE 12th Ave
1624 NE 33rd Lane
939 Wilmington Pkwy
921 NW 27th St
802 SW 7th Ct
1208 Academy B
720 SW 31st Terr
845 Gleason Pkwy
All the waterways are managed by the Marine Services Division of the Parks Recreation Department. To help finance the boat ramp improvement project as well as control boating traffic, Cape Coral started a Boat Trailer Parking Program that requires one to pay a daily fee for parking boats at any of the improved parking lots. The unimproved boat ramps do not require a daily fee. They are not paved and have limited parking available and no additional amenities on the site.
